THE CAROLYN E. PARKER FOUNDATION HOSTS A NIGHT IN THE CARIBBEAN
The Carolyn E. Parker Foundation is proud to announce its 3rd Annual Gala Fundraising Event. The event will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 8:00pm-12:00am at Elements Eatery & Mixology (formerly The Tides Restaurant & Lounge), located at 46580 Expedition Dr., Lexington Park, MD 20653. Please spread the word regarding this exciting event, as your Caribbean night awaits you with a Live Band (from Trinidad) and DJ (from Virginia)!
The purpose of the event is to continue to lead change and inspire our youth by transforming their lives and enabling memories with funds raised in support of the Carolyn E. Parker Scholarship Fund, in partnership with St. Mary’s County Business, Education and Community Alliance organization. Additionally, proceeds from this event will support various Middle School after- School Young Girls Empowerment Programs. Lastly, remaining funds generated will successfully enable our most highly regarded initiative, Project Cinderella 2016.
The annual Cinderella Project is a community outreach initiative, with public schools, located in Southern Maryland. We, in confidence, partner with school administrators to ensure girls desiring to attend significant school dances (i.e. spring dance, prom, homecoming, and winter formal) are afforded an opportunity to participate by selecting from a variety of formal and semi-formal dresses. This event benefits community middle school and high school students. Additionally, the Carolyn E. Parker Foundation is being the difference in our community by providing after school meals for girls, coordinating and hosting college and career panels, supplying blankets as Christmas gifts to Three Oaks Shelter, conducting Vision Board Workshops and other engaging, self-improvement events to continue to broaden the minds of our next generation of leaders.
The Carolyn E. Parker Foundation is driven by a passionate belief that we all have a responsibility for each other during the most troublesome times. Our vision is through community outreach and the ethos of The Carolyn E. Parker Foundation, the elderly will be supported, the youth will be educated, the hungry will be fed, the unclothed will be covered, and the impoverished will be restored. Therefore, The Carolyn E. Parker Foundation, serving as mentors and role models in personal, social and spiritual development, is focused on transforming lives by providing resources and offering much needed care and support to a diverse group of people.
The Carolyn E. Parker Foundation, a 501(3)(c) organization, is asking local community members and companies to consider making a monetary tax deductible contribution to this event.
